Rashid Khan has been named as Afghanistan captain
Afghanistan Cricket Board announced that 24-year-old bowling all-rounder Rashid Khan has been named as their new captain of the T20I side, and he will replace Mohammad Nabi, who stepped down from the captaincy recently at the end of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022.

Rashid Khan made his T20I debut in 2015 when he was 17 years old, and since then he has played 74 T20I matches and claimed 122 wickets. Rashid Khan has led the Afghan team in all three formats in 2019, and he has a 57.14% winning percentage in T20I matches with 4 wins in 7 matches.
Rashid Khan tweeted and said that he was ready to take on the big responsibility and an even bigger challenge.
