Bangladesh eliminated from the Tri series

New Zealand registered 48 runs win over Bangladesh, in 5th T20I of the Tri- Nation series at the Christchurch on Tuesday. Bangladesh captain Shakib Al Hasan won the coin toss and elected to bowl first.

After losing the toss New Zealand posed huge target infront of Bangladesh. They scored 208 runs for lost of 5 wickets in their 20 overs. New Zealand had a solid start with 45 runs partnership for the 1st wickets. Finn Allen dismissed for 32 runs. After the lost of Allen, Devon Conway and Martin Guptill made 82 runs partnership for the 2nd wicket. Conway was the top scorer with 64 runs. At the back end of the inning Glenn Phillips played a magnificent knock and scored 60 runs in 24 balls with 5 sixes and 2 fours.  

In reply that Bangladesh manage to score 160 runs for lost of 7 wickets in their 20 overs. Shakib Al Hasan was the top scorer with 70 runs. Soumya Sarkar and Litton Das scored 23 runs each. Both Litton Das and Soumya Sarkar added 43 runs for the 3rd wicket. Other than that no one able to build a solid partnership in the middle. For New Zealand Adam Milne claimed 3 wickets 24 runs.

With that lost Bangladesh eliminated from the Tri series and Pakistan and New Zealand qualified for the Final.
