Smart decision by Lala to use Sarfaraz Ahmed – Shoaib Malik

Former Pakistan captain and all-rounder Shoaib Malik praised Pakistan cricket team chief selector Shahid Afridi’s decision to include Sarfaraz Ahmed as a wicketkeeper batsman in the playing XI for the first Test against New Zealand at Karachchi. Also, Malik suggests that Sarfaraz Ahmed be brought back to the ODI side as well.

The Champions Trophy-winning captain, Sarfaraz Ahmed, was dropped from the all format of the game, and he made a strong comeback with a much-needed 50 for Pakistan as well as himself. He scored 86 runs. He came out to bat, when Pakistan were at spot of bother with 110 runs for lost of 4 wickets. Sarfaraz and Babar Azam eventually put on a 196-run partnership for the fifth wicket, reversing the disastrous start.
