PCB has appointed two captains for red-ball and white-ball cricket
Pakistan batter Babar Azam announced that he will step down as Pakistan captain from all formats. After that, the Pakistan Cricket Board has appointed two captains for red-ball and white-ball cricket. According to the PCB, 34-year-old opening batter Shan Masood was named the Test captain of the Pakistan Men’s Cricket Team, while young pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi was named the captain of their T20I side.
Shaheen Shah Afridi made his T20I debut in 2018, and since then, he has played 52 T20I matches. He is the 10th Pakistani player to lead the side in a T20I format. Shan Masood has played 30 Test matches and scored 1597 runs. Shan Masood was the 35th Test captain for Pakistan.
