Former cricketers were surprised to see Dasun Shanaka remain unsold in the IPL
Sri Lankan skipper Dasun Shanaka scored the fastest T20I fifty for Sri Lanka and helped Sri Lanka register a 16-run win over India. He is having a good outing in his last 5 innings against India in T20Is. But unfortunately, Dasun Shanaka went unsold in the IPL auction. Dasun Shanaka’s non-selection in the IPL surprised many cricketers.
Indian all-rounder Irfan Pathan tweeted and said that he always rates Dasun Shanaka highly.

Former Sri Lankan captain and legendary batsman Kumar Sangakkara said, “You asked about selecting Dasun Shanaka in the IPL.” “I believe that a few of us may have to reconsider those decisions,” he said during the commentary.
Also, Sri Lankan T20 World Cup winning captain Lasith Malinga tweeted and said that, Dasun Shanaka was definitely one of the best T20 finishers in the game, and with his recent performances, Lasith Malinga would be surprised if he wasn’t picked by any IPL team.
