On this day in 2018, Sri Lankan Test captain Dhananjaya de Silva scored his highest score in Test matches. He scored 173 runs against Bangladesh at Chattogram. After the dismissal of Dimuth Karunarathne in the 3rd over of Sri Lanka’s first innings, Dhananjaya de Silva and Kusal Mendis made 308 runs for the 2nd wicket.
