Dambulla franchise team is now under new ownership

The Lanka Premier League announced that the Dambulla franchise team is now under new ownership and changed the team name to Dambulla Thunders. According to the report, Bangladeshi entrepreneurs Tamim Rahman and Golam Rakib are the new owners of the team. The 5th edition of the Lanka Premier League will be held from July 1–21, 2024.
