Chennai seals a huge victory

Chennai Super Kings registered a 49-run win over Kolkata Knight Riders in the 33rd match of the Indian Premier League on Sunday in Kolkata. Kolkata Knight Riders captain Nitish Rana won the coin toss and opted to bowl first.

After losing the toss, the Chennai Super Kings set a huge target and scored 235 runs for the loss of four wickets. Ruturaj Gaikwad scored 35 runs, while Devon Conway scored 56 runs. Both Gaikwad and Conway added 73 runs for the first wicket. Shivam Dube scored 50 runs in 21 balls. For CSK, Ajinkya Rahane was the star with the bat and scored an unbeaten 71 runs in 29 balls.

In reply, the Kolkata Knight Riders managed to score 186 runs for the loss of eight wickets in their 20 overs. Jason Roy was the top scorer with 61 runs in 26 balls. Rinku Singh contributed with an unbeaten 53 runs. For Chennai Super Kings, Maheesh Theekshaka claimed 2 wickets, while Matheesha Pathirana came out with an economical 4 overs.
