Chamari Athapaththu completed 1000 runs in WBBL

Sri Lankan women’s team captain Chamari Athapaththu became the first and only Sri Lankan to complete 1000 runs in the Women’s Big Bash League. She has scored 1017 runs in 50 WBBL matches. Chamari Athapaththu has scored 485 runs for the Sydney Thunder Women in the ongoing Women’s Big Bash League 2023. Previously, she has played for the Melbourne Renegades Women and the Perth Scorchers Women.
