Zimbabwe beat Pakistan

Zimbabwe registered 1 run win over Pakistan, in 24th T20I of the T20I World Cup at the Perth on Thursday. Zimbabwe Captain Craig Ervine won the coin toss and elected to bat first.

After winning the toss Zimbabwe made 130 runs for lost of 8 wickets in their 20 overs. Zimbabwe had a solid start with 42 runs partnership between Wesley Madhevere and Craig Ervine. After that good opening stand Zimbabwe lost 3 quick wickets. However Sikandar Raza and Sean Williams done some repair work and added 31 runs for the 4th wicket. Williams was the top scorer with 31 runs. After that Zimbabwe lost 4 wickets in two consecutive overs. Shadab Khan and Mohammad Wasim Jr took 2 wickets each in their two overs but unfortunately missed hat-trick. After that collapse Brad Evans and Ryan Burl made 31 runs partnership for the 8 wicket and helped Zimbabwe to posed competitive total on the board.

In reply that Pakistan manage to score 129 runs for lost of 8 wickets in their 20 overs. Zimbabwe bowlers kept ththings tight and put pressure on Pakistan. Pakistan lost their top order cheaply. However Shadab Khan and Shan Masood rebuild the the innings and added 52 runs for the 4th wicket. After that Pakistan lost 3 quick wickets including well set Shan Masood. Masood was the top scorer with 44 runs. Mohammad Nawaz and  Mohammad Wasim Jr kept Pakistan hopes alive with 34 runs partnership for the 7 wicket. However Brad Evans got the wicket of Mohammad Nawaz in the 5th ball of the last over and broke the hearts of Pakistanis. Eventually Zimbabwe came as the winners in the final ball of the match.
