Bangladesh won the dead rubber

Bangladesh registered a 7-wicket win over Afghanistan in the 3rd and final ODI of the series on Tuesday at Chattogram. Afghanistan captain Hashmatullah Shahidi won the toss and opted to bat first.

After winning the toss, Afghanistan was bowled out for 126 runs in 45.2 overs. Azmatullah Omarzai was the top scorer with 56 runs, and Hashmatullah Shahidi scored 22 runs. Najibullah Zadran scored 10 runs, while Mujeeb Ur Rahman contributed 11 runs. Other than that, no one was able to reach double figures. For Bangladesh, Shoriful Islam claimed four wickets.

In reply, Bangladesh chased down the target successfully and scored 129 runs for the loss of 3 wickets in 23.3 overs. Skipper Litton Das was the top scorer with an unbeaten 53 runs, and Shakib Al Hasan scored 39 runs. Towhid Hridoy contributed with an unbeaten 22 runs.

However, Afghanistan won the first and second ODIs of the series and clinched the series 2-1.
