Dasun, Bhanuka, Maheesh and Matheesha to play CPL 2023
The player Draft for the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) was held on Friday, June 30th. At the end of the player draft, six teams announced their squads for the upcoming CPL 2023, which gets under way on August 16, 2023.
Sri Lankan spinner Maheesh Theekshana signed with the Barbados Royals. Sri Lankan limited-overs skipper Dasun Shanaka and left-handed batsman Bhanuka Rajapaksha signed with the Saint Lucia Kings. Sri Lankan young fast bowler Matheesha Pathirana was picked by the Trinbago Knight Riders for the CPL in 2013.
