Bangladesh Lead the series 1-0

Bangladesh registered a convincing 90-run win over Sri Lanka , in 1st ODI of the Three match series, at the Dambulla on Saturday. Sri Lankan Captain Upul Tharanga won the coin toss, and elected to field first.

Tamim Iqbal and Soumya Sarkar stared the Bangladesh innings and Soumya Sarkar dismissed for 10 runs at the score of 29. Following of his dismissal Sabbir Rahman joined with Tamim Iqbal and set the platform for the Bangladesh. Both added 90 runs for the 2nd wicket befort Sabbir Rahman fell for 54 runs. In very next over Mushfiqur Rahim dismissed for just one run. Following of his dismissal Shakib Al Hasan joined with Tamim Iqbal and made 144 runs partnership for the 4th wicket. Their partnership killed the game for Sri Lanka. Shakib Al Hasan scored 72 runs in 71 balls with 4 fours and a Six. Tamim Iqbal eventually went past his 8th ODI century, before falling for 127 runs. Mosaddek Hossain and Mahmudulla stared to play some big shots in the latter stages of the innings. However, End of 50 overs Bangladesh manage to score 324 runs for lost of 5 wickets.

In reply that Sri Lanka were off to a shaky start, as they lost Danushka Gunathilaka in third ball of the first over. Sri Lankan never really got going and lost wickets at regular intervals. But Dinesh Chandimal and Asela Gunaratne added 56 runs for the 4th wicket. For Sri Lanka, it was Dinesh Chandimal, who was the top scorer with 59 runs. Thisara Perera scored gritty 55 runs in 35 balls, but it was too little too late. Bangladeshi bowlers kept things tight and never let go of their grip. However Sri Lanka were bowled out for 234 runs in 45.1 overs
