Back to back wins for Jaffna Kings

Jaffna Kings registered a win over Dambulla Giants in the third match of the Lanka Premier League on Wednesday at Hambantota. Dambulla Giants captain Dasun Shanka won the coin toss and elected to bat first.

After winning the toss, the Dambulla Giants managed to score 121 runs for the loss of nine wickets in their 20 overs. Dambulla had a solid start with 63 runs, and Jordan Cox was dismissed for the 43 runs. Dambulla then lost wickets in regular intarvals and lost momentum.Shevon Daniel scored 19 runs, while Bhanuka Rajapaksha scored 18.Vijayakanth Viyaskanth and Maheesh Theekshana each took three wickets for Jaffna Kings.

Jaffna Kings responded by chasing down the target, losing one wicket in the process.Sadeera Samarawickrama and Avishka Fernando made a 118-run partnership for the first wicket. Sadeera Samarawickrama was the top scorer with an unbeaten 62, and Avishka Fernando made 51 runs.
