Australia won the series 4-1

Australians registered a convincing 57-run win over Pakistan, in 5th ODI and won the series 4-1, at the Adelaide on Thursday. Australian Captain Steven Smith won the coin toss, and elected to bat first.

David Warner and Travis Head started the Australian innings and they put on a 284 runs partnership for the 1st wicket. It was the second highest partnership for the 1st wicket in ODI matches. Also it was the highest 1st wicket partnership for Australia. David Warner made 179 runs in 128 ball and registered his highest score in  ODI matches. Travis Head made his maiden ODI hundred and scored 128 runs. However Australia made 369 runs for lost of 7 wickets in their 50 over and set a huge target to Pakistan to chasse.

In reply that Pakistan openers unable to give them a good start. They lost their first wicket at the score of 10. Azhar Ali dismissed for 6 runs. following his dismissal Babar Azam joined with Sharjeel Khan. They made 130 runs partnership for the 2nd wicket before Sharjeel Khan fell for 79. For Pakistan, it was Babar Azam, who was the top scorer with 100 runs. while in the bowling department, it was Mitchell Starc, who claimed four -wickets for 42 runs. Eventually Pakistan bowled out for 312 runs in 49.1 overs and it claimed 57 runs victory for Australia.

David Warner named as Player of the Match and the Player of the series for his brilliant batting performances.
