Australia create a history with a big win

Australia registered a 309-run victory over the Netherlands in the 24th match of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 on Wednesday at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. Australia captain Scott Edwards won the toss and opted to bat first.

After winning the toss, Australia made a huge score and scored 399 runs, losing 5 wickets in 50 overs. David Warner scored 104 runs on 93 balls, and Steven Smith scored 71 runs. Both Smith and Warner made a 132-run partnership for the second wicket. Glenn Maxwell was the top scorer with 106 runs in 44 balls, and Marnus Labuschagne condributed with 62 runs. For the Netherlands, Logan van Beek claimed four wickets.

In reply to that, the Netherlands boudled out for 90 runs in 21 balls. Australian bowlers kept things tight, put pressure on the Netherlands, and took wickets at regular intervals. Vikramjit Singh was the top scorer with 25 runs, and Teja Nidamanuru scored 14 runs. For Australia, Adam Zampa claimed four wickets.

With that win, Australia has recorded the highest-ever win by runs in Cricket World Cup history.
