Afghanistan beats Bangladesh at home

Afghanistan registered a comprehensive 142-run win over Bangladesh in the 2nd ODI of the series on Saturday at Chattogram. Bangladesh captain Litton Das won the toss and opted to bowl first.

After losing the toss, Afghanistan put a huge total on the board and scored 331 runs for the loss of nine wickets in 50 overs. Rahmanullah Gurbaz was the top scorer with 145 runs, and Ibrahim Zadran scored 100 runs. Both Zadran and Gurbaz added 256 runs in a partnership for the first wicket. Mohammad Nabi contributed 25 runs.

In reply, Bangladesh bowled out Bangladesh for 189 runs in 43.2 overs. Mushfiqur Rahim was the only successful batsman, with 69 runs. Shakib Al-Hasan and Mehidy Hasan Miraz scored 25 runs each. For Afghanistan, Mujeeb Ur Rahman and Fazalhaq Farooqi claimed three wickets each.
With that win, Afghanistan won the series with one match to spare.
