Wanindu Hasaranga is likely to be appointed as the new captain?

According to the reports, the newly appointed selection committee is likely to appoint superstar all-rounder Wanindu Hasaranga as Sri Lanka’s new T20I captain ahead of the home series against Zimbabwe. The selection committee is scheduled to reconvene on Monday to make the decision.

The report said that SLC named a 22-member preliminary T20 squad for the upcoming T20I series against Zimbabwe. The selection committee decided to bring back six players, including Angelo Mathews, Bhanuka Rajapaksha, and Akila Dhananjaya.
