Rabada destroyed Windies’ hopes

At the end of the third day of the first test match, South Africa registered an 87-run win over the West Indies on Thursday at Centurion.

South Africa began their innings for the second day with 49 runs for the loss of four wickets. South Africa scored 116 runs in their second innings and set the West Indies a target of 246 runs. Aiden Markram was the top scorer with 47 runs, and Gerald Coetzee scored 20 runs. For the West Indies, Kemar Roach claimed five wickets.

West Indies came out to chase the target of 247 runs. However, they were bowled out for 159 runs, giving the home team an 87-run victory. Jermaine Blackwood was the only successful batsman with 79 runs. Other than that, no one was able to score more than 20 runs. For South Africa, Kagiso Rabada was the star with the ball and claimed six wickets.
