Women’s Asia Cup: India girls became the Champions of Asia

India Women registered 8 wickets win over Sri lanka , in the final of series at the Sylhet on Saturday. This is the 7th time that India women’s Team became the champions of Women’s Asia Cup. Sri Lanka women captain Chamari Atapaththu won the coin toss and elected to bat first.

After winning the toss Sri Lanka just manage to score 65 runs for lost of 9 wickets in their 20 overs. This is the lowest team total in Women’s Asia Cup final. Sri Lanka lost the wickets regularly. Inoka Ranaweera was the top scorer with an unbeaten 18 runs. For India Renuka Singh claimed 3 wickets.

In reply that India women chassed down the target successfully with in 8.3 overs. They scored 71 runs for lost of 2 wickets. Smriti Mandhana scored an unbeaten 51 runs in 25 balls.

Renuka Singh named as the player of the match and Deepti Sharma named as the player of the series.
