We will like Angelo Mathews to be our captain – Team owner of the Northern Warriors

The seventh edition of the Abu Dhabi T10 player draft was completed as the eight teams picked up cricketers who performed well at international and domestic levels, including Sri Lankans.

In this year’s edition, the Northern Warriors team blends the Sri Lankan flavor with Chaminda Vaas, who is the head coach of the team. Also, the Northern Warriors named Sri Lankan superstar all-rounder Wanindu Hasaranga as their icon player. Sri Lanka’s most experienced all-rounder and former captain, Angelo Mathews, was drafted into the Northern Warriors in the upcoming Abu Dhabi T10.

Team owner of the Northern Warriors Mohomed Morani expressed his thoughts about the Angelo Mathews during the player draft. “Angelo Mathews is one of the best all-rounders you have in the world. He gets lots of experience behind him, and I think he will add great value to our team,” Mohomed Morani said. “Definitely, we will also like him to be our captain. Let’s hope so.” Mohomed Morani extended his explanation.

The seventh edition of the Abu Dhabi T10 will get underway from November 28 to December 9, 2023, at the Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium.
