We want to win the next World Cup says Head Coach of Sri Lanka

Ahead of the first match of the three-match ODI series between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, Head Coach of Sri Lanka Cricket Team Chris Silverwood joined the pre-series media conference to express his thoughts about the series and team preparation.

“We are going to take the series very seriously, as I’m sure both teams will. We are in a new cycle now, so we are again building towards a style of cricket we want to play in the next World Cup, and that’s something that we are trying to embed within the team, and this again is part of that process of doing that.” Chris Silverwood said:  “We want to win the next World Cup and want to try and give ourselves the best possible chance of doing that. That preparation has to start now, and that’s how we will be approaching this.” He extended his explanation.

“We will be trying to continue the momentum that we have had from the series at home as well in Sri Lanka, and I’ll be encouraging the guys to go out and do the same.” Chris Silverwood speaks positively.
