Sri Lanka’s women’s team registered an 8-wicket win over India’s women in the final of the Women’s Asia Cup 2024 at Dambulla. India Women batted first and scored 165 runs for a loss of six wickets in their 20 overs. In reply to that, Sri Lanka Womens chased down the target successfully and scored 167 runs for a loss of 2 wickets in 18.4 overs.
After winning the final, Sri Lanka legend Kumar Sangakkara posted a video on “X” showing how he enjoyed the final moment of the match online and congratulated the Sri Lankan girls.
