Wanindu Hasaranga will be the key player for Sri Lanka in T20 World Cup

Top ranked Super star Wanidu Hasaranga will be the key player for Sri Lanka in upcoming T20 World Cup in Australia. He made his T20 World Cup debut in 2021 and played some wonderful cricket with the bat and bowl. His all round skills helped Sri Lanka to win some crucial matches in qualifier round. Also Wanidu Hasaranga made some records in his first appearance in T20 World Cup.

Wanidu Hasaranga claimed a Hat-Trick against South Africa. Aiden Markram went as his first wicket in last ball of the over. After that he took Temba Bavuma and Dwaine Pretorius in two consecutive balls in his next over.

– Highest wicket taker in ICC T20 World Cup match.

Wanidu Hasaranga took 16 wickets and became the highest wicket taker in the 2021 T20 World Cup. Most importantly out of the 16 wickets, 10 of them came in the Super 12 stage of the tournament.
It recorded as the most wickets in a single edition of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.
