Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma are not included in the squad

The Board of Control for Cricket in India has announced the 15-man squad for the upcoming T20I series against the West Indies. Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya was named captain of the side, while Surya Kumar Yadav was named vice captain of the team. Most experienced Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma are not included in the side. Uncapped Yashasvi Jaiswal and Tilak Varma get their maiden call-ups for the Indian side. 

India T20I squad: Ishan Kishan (wk), Shubman Gill, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Tilak Varma, Surya Kumar Yadav (VC), Sanju Samson (wk), Hardik Pandya (C), Axar Patel, Yuzvendra Chahal, Kuldeep Yadav, Ravi Bishnoi, Arshdeep Singh, Umran Malik, Avesh Khan, Mukesh Kumar

India will play five T20I matches against the West Indies, which got under way on August 3rd.
