Sri Lanka Under-19 won the 1st match

Sri Lanka Under-19 team registered a convincing 26-run win over Pakistan Under-19 team , in 1st ODI 5 match series, at the Mahinda Rajapaksha Stadium on Sunday. Sri Lankan captain Nipun Dananjaya won the coin toss and elected to Bat first.

After winning the toss Sri Lankan Under 19 Team scored 234 runs for lost of 9 wickets in their 50 overs. Sri Lankan openers Kamil Mishara(65) and navod Paranawithana(54) made 122 runs for the first wicket. Others contributed with some valuable runs and they set 235 runs target in-front of Pakistan Under 19 Team.

In Reply that Pakistan Under 19 Team were off to a steady start, with the openers contributing 85 opening runs. But Pakistan couldn’t capitalize their good start. They lost wicket regular intervals including 3 run outs. Haider Ali was the top scorer with 51 runs. However Pakistan bowled out for 208 runs with in 47.3 overs and it claimed 26 runs win for Sri Lanka Under 19 Team.
