Sri Lanka registered their 400th win
Sri Lanka registered a 132-run win over Afghanistan in the second ODI of the series on Sunday at Hambanthota. After winning the toss, Sri Lanka batted first and scored 323 runs for the loss of six wickets in their 20 overs. In reply, Afghanistan was bowled out for 191 runs in 42.1 overs. With that win, Sri Lanka registered their 400th win in one international match. Sri Lanka was the fifth team to achieve 400 wins in ODI matches. Sri Lanka played their first ever ODI match in 1975. Since then, they have played 887 matches, and 25 captains have led the team. Sri Lanka registered their first ODI win against India at Manchester on June 16, 1979, under the captaincy of Bandula Warnapura.
