Sri Lanka lost an ODI series against Bangladesh
Bangladesh registered 103 runs win over Sri Lanka, in 2nd ODI and won the Series 2-0 with one match to play at the Shere Bangla National Stadium on Tuesday. Bangladesh captain Tamim Iqbal won the coin toss and elected to bat first.
Bangladesh off to shaky start as they lost 2 wickets in 2nd Over of the match. Once again its Mushfiqur Rahim the man who helped Bangladesh to pose a competitive score against Sri Lanka. He made his 125 runs in 127 balls with 10 boundaries. Mahmudullah contributed with 41 runs. At one stage Bangladesh struggle with 74 for lost of 4 wickets. But Mahmudullah and Rahim add 87 runs for the 5th wicket and rebuilt the inning nicely. However Sri Lankan bowlers able to bowled Bangladesh for 246 in 48.1 overs. Dushmantha Chameera and Lakshan Sandakan claimed 3 wickets each.
In Reply that Sri Lanka Sri Lanka couldn’t get a good start. They lost wickets in regular intervals. Eight Batsmen got start but no one able to built a big innings. Danushka Gunathilaka was the highest scorer with 24 runs. However Sri Lanka innings reduced to 40 overs due to rain. End of 40 overs Sri Lanka manage to score 141 for lost of 9 wickets. and it registered 103 runs victory for Bangladesh.
