Sri Lanka fined for Slow Over-Rate

South Africa registered a 102-run win over Sri Lanka in the 4th match of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 on Saturday at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. South Africa batted first and scored 428 runs for a loss of 5 wickets in their 50 overs. In reply to that, Sri Lanka bowled out 326 runs in 44.5 overs.

However, Sri Lanka wasn’t able to bowl their 50 overs in time, and Sri Lanka has been fined 10 percent of their match fee. Skipper Dasun Shanaka and his team were 2 overs short of the target in the 1st inning of the match.
