The top eight teams will be able to qualify directly for the upcoming ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023, which will be held in India. South Africa has a chance to finish among the top eight teams on the list. They have three upcoming matches, one against England at home and two against the Netherlands in March. If they are able to win those remaining matches, they can move up to the 8th spot in the standings.
On the other hand, Sri Lanka has three matches against New Zealand left. Sri Lanka must win the remaining three matches to qualify directly for the upcoming ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup. They must also wait for South Africa to lose one match.
