On This Day in 2005, Sri Lankan opening batsman Upul Tharanga made his first hundred in ODI matches. He scored his maiden hundred in his fifth ODI match. Tharanga scored 105 runs against Bangladesh at R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. It helped Sri Lanka put 295 runs on the board.
