“Our main target to build a Team for 2019 WC” Angelo Mathews

Post Tournament media briefing on Sri Lanka tour of England was held at Sri Lanka Cricket Board today. Sri Lankan Captain Angelo Mathews, Chairman of Selection Committee Sanath Jayasuriya , Jayantha Dharmadasa and other members of SLC take part in this Press Conference.

Sri Lankan skipper Angelo Mathews said that Sri Lanka’s main target to build a Team for World Cup 2019. ” Jeffrey Vandersay was Injured and Seekkuge Prasanna selected as a replacement of injured Vandersay.He was in good form in England and he had took many wickets in there But he could do well in the series.” Mathews said. Also he said that Farveez Maharoof joined to squad to guide the youngsters and use his experiences as a fast bowling all rounder. “unfortunately he couldn’t  do what we expected but we need youngsters and seniors to going forward” Sri Lankan Captain said.
