October 14: Farveez Maharoof’s unforgettable bowling performance

On this day in 2006, Sri Lankan all-rounder Farveez Maharoof achieved his first five-wicket haul in ODI matches. He claimed six wickets for 14 runs in nine overs in the ICC Champions Trophy match against the West Indies at Brabourne. It is regarded as his best bowling figure in ODI matches. With that bowling performance, Sri Lanka managed to restrict the West Indies to 80 runs.
