The Netherlands registered a 7-wicket win over Nepal in the 14th match of the ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifiers 2023 on Saturday in Harare. Netherlands captain Scott Edwards won the toss and opted to bowl first.
After losing, Nepal bolwed out for 167 runs in 44.3 overs. Skipper Rohit Paudel was the top scorer with 33 runs. Kushal Bhurtel and Sandeep Lamichhane scored 27 runs each. Bhim Sharki contributed 22 runs. For the Netherlands, Logan van Beek claimed four wickets.
In reply, the Netherlands chased down the target successfully and scored 168 runs for the loss of 3 wickets in 27.1 overs. Max ODowd and Vikramjit Singh got off to a flying start and made 86 runs for the first wicket. Vikramjit Singh scored 30 runs. Max ODowd was the top scorer with 90 runs, and Bas de Leede scored an unbeaten 41 runs.
With that win, the Netherlands, Zimbabwe, and West Indies qualified for the Super Six in the ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifiers 2023.
