Mumbai Indians registered their first win

Mumbai Indians registered a six-wicket win over Delhi Capitals in the 16th match of the Indian Premier League 2023 on Tuesday at Delhi. Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma won the coin toss and elected to bowl first.

After losing the toss, Delhi Capitals were bowled out for 172 runs in 19.4 overs. Axar Patel was the top scorer with 54 runs, while skipper David Warner scored 51 runs. Manish Pandey contributed 26 runs. For the Delhi Capitals, Jason Behrendorff and Piyush Chawla claimed three wickets each.

In reply, the Mumbai Indians chased down the target successfully in the last ball of the match. They scored 173 runs for the loss of four wickets in 20 overs. Rohit Sharma was the top scorer for the Mumbai Indians with 65 runs, and Ishan Kishan scored 31 runs. Both Ishan Kishan and Rohit Sharma made a 71-run partnership for the first wicket. Tilak Varma scored 41 runs.
