Kolkata won the nail-biting match against RCB

Kolkata Knight Riders registered a 1 run win over Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the 36th match of the Indian Premier League 2024 at Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Sunday. Royal Challengers Bengaluru captain Faf du Plessis won the toss and opted to bowl first.

After losing the toss, the Kolkata Knight Riders scored 222 runs for a loss of six wickets in their 20 overs. Skipper Shreyas Iyer was the top scorer with the bat and scored 50 runs, and Philip Salt smashed 48 runs in 14 balls. Ramandeep Singh scored an unbeaten 24 runs in just nine balls. For Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Cameron Green and Yash Dayal claimed two wickets each.

In reply to that, Royal Challengers Bengaluru bowled out 221 runs in 20 overs. Will Jacks scored 55 runs, and Rajat Patidar scored 52 runs. Both Will Jacks and Rajat Patidar added 102 runs for the 3rd wicket. Dinesh Karthik made 25 runs. While in the bowling department for the Kolkata Knight Riders, Andre Russell claimed three wickets.
