India won the thrilling match

India registered a 2-run win over Sri Lanka at Mumbai on Tuesday. Sri Lanka captain Dasun Shanaka won the coin toss and elected to bowl first.

After losing the toss, India had a flying start with 27 runs in 2.3 overs until Shubman Gill was dismissed for 7. Eleven runs later, inform batsman Suryakumar Yadav got out for 7 runs. Sanju Samson hasn’t had a good outing today, and he departs for 7 runs. Following Samson’s dismissal, skipper Hardik Pandya and Ishan Kishan added 31 runs for the fourth wicket. Ishan Kishan scored 37 runs, and Hardik Pandya made 29. However, at the back end of the innings, Deepak Hooda and Axar Patel made an unbeaten 68-run partnership, which helped India post a competitive total on the board. Deepak Hooda was the top scorer with an unbeaten 41 runs, and Axar Patel scored an unbeaten 31 runs. India eventually scores 162 runs in 20 overs for the loss of five wickets.

In response, Sri Lanka felt they were only two runs short. They made 160 runs for the loss of nine wickets in their 20 overs. Sri Lanka hasn’t had a good start. They lost their top order cheaply. Kusal Mendis scored 28 runs, while others struggled to score freely. However, Skipper Dasun Shanaka and Vice Captain Wanindu Hasaranga rebuilt the inning and made 40 runs in quick time. Hasaranga scored 21 runs in 10 balls. Dasun Shanaka fought hard and scored 45 runs in 27 balls. Chamika Karunarathne kept Sri Lanka’s hope alive until the last ball. But he couldn’t take Sri Lanka over the line. Chamika Karunarathne scored an unbeaten 23 runs. Shivam Mavi, a debutant for India, took four wickets.
