India maintains its winning streak against Pakistan in World Cup matches

India registered a 7-wicket wickets comfortable win over Pakistan in the 12th match of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 on Saturday at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. India captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and opted to bowl first.

After losing the toss, Pakistan bowled out 191 runs in 42.5 overs. Abdullah Shafique and Imam-ul-Haq are off to a solid start with a 41-run partnership for the first wicket. Imam-ul-Haq scored 36 runs, and Shafique scored 20 runs. Babar Azam was the top scorer for Pakistan and scored 50 runs, while Mohammad Rizwan contributed 49 runs. Both Babar and Rizwan added an 82-run partnership for the third wicket. However, after that, Pakistan lost momentum and lost wickets at regular intervals.

In reply to that, India chased down the target successfully and scored 192 runs for a loss of 3 wickets in 30.3 overs. Skipper Rohit Sharma was the top scorer with 86 runs, and Shreyas Iyer scored an unbeaten 53 runs. Both Sharma and Iyer made a 77-run partnership for the third wicket.
