India Legends win the rain effected match

India Legends registered 40 runs win over England Legends, in 14th T20 in the Road Safety World Series at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium on Thursday.  Match was  reduced to 15 overs per side due to rain. England Legends Captain Ian Bell won the coin toss and elected to bowl first.

India Legends had a steady start and Naman Ojha and captain Sachin Tendulkar made 65 runs partnership in 5.4 overs for the first wicket. Skipper Sachin Tendulkar was the top scorer with 40 runs in 20 balls. In the back stage of the match Yuvraj Singh smashed unbeaten 31 runs in 15 balls.However India manage to score 170 runs for lost of 5 wickets in their 15 overs. Stephen Parry was the only successful bowler for England Legends. He claimed 3 wickets for 19 runs in his 3 over spell.

In reply that England Legends scored 130 runs for lost of 6 wickets. England Legends had a quick start their openers made 36 runs in 3.2 over. But they couldn’t that rate throughout the innings. They lost wickets regularly. Phil Mustard was the top scorer with 29 runs. For India Legends Rajesh Pawar took 3 wickets for just 12 runs.
