India and Rain defeat Bangladesh
India registered 5 runs win over Bangladesh, in 35th T20I of the T20I World Cup at the Adelaide on Wednesday. Bangladesh Captain Shakib Al Hasan won the coin toss and elected to bowl first.
After losing the toss India posed a good score on the board. They made 184 runs for lost of 6 wickets in their 20 overs. India lost their skipper Rohit Sharma early when the score at 11. After that, Virat Kholi joined with KL Rahul and put on 67 runs partnership for the 2nd wicket. Rahul scored 50 runs in 32 balls. 38 runs later Suryakumar Yadav was dismissed for 30 runs. Virat Kohli was the top scorer for India with an unbeaten 64 runs.
In reply that Bangladesh had a wonderful start with their openers, specially from Litton Das.
Unfortunately for Bangladesh, match was interrupted by rain and Bangladesh were well a head according to the DLS method at that moment. However ever after a some delay match was restarted and 2nd inns reduced to 16 overs also target was revised for Bangladesh to 151. After the rain break, Litton Das was run out for 60 runs. After that Bangladesh lost their momentum and lost wickets in regularly intervals. However at the back end of the innings Nurul Hasan and Taskin Ahmed added 37 runs and keep hopes alive for Bangladesh. Eventually, Bangladesh couldn’t cross the line and they just short of the target. They manage to score 145 runs for lost of 5 wickets in their 16 overs and its claimed 5 runs win for India according to DLS method.
