India A team and Pakistan A team qualified for the ACC Men’s Emerging Teams Asia Cup 2023 on Friday. Both teams will meet in the final on Sunday at R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.
Pakistan A Team registered a 60-run win over Sri Lanka A Team in the 1st semi-final of the ACC Men’s Emerging Teams Asia Cup 2023. After winning the toss, Pakistan A batted first and were all out for 322 runs in their 50 overs. Omair Yousuf was the top scorer with 88 runs, and Mohammad Haris scored 52 runs. In reply, Sri Lanka A was bundled out for 262 runs in 45.4 overs. Avishka Fernando and Sahan Arachchige scored 97 runs each. For Pakistan, Arshad Iqbal claimed five wickets.
In the second semi-final of the ACC Men’s Emerging Teams Asia Cup 2023, India A beat Bangladesh A by 51 runs. After winning the toss, Bangladesh invited India to bat first, and India bowled India out for 211 runs in 49.1 overs. Skipper Yash Dhull was the top scorer with 66 runs, and Abhishek Sharma contributed with 34 runs. In reply, Bangladesh A was bowled out for 160 runs in 34.2 overs. Tanzid Hasan scored 51 runs, while Mohammad Naim contributed 38 runs. For India, Nishant Sindhu claimed five wickets.
