Happy ending for UAE in 2023

The United Arab Emirates registered an 11-run win over Afghanistan in the 2nd T20I of the series on Sunday in Sharjah. United Arab Emirates captain Muhammad Waseem won the toss and opted to bat first.

After winning the toss, United Arab Emirates scored 166 runs for a loss of seven wickets in their 20 overs. Muhammad Waseem and Aryan Lakra made a 72-run partnership for the first wicket. Skipper Muhammad Waseem scored 53 runs, while Aryan Lakra was the top scorer with an unbeaten 63 runs. For the Afghanisatan, Qais Ahmad claimed 2 wickets for 15 runs.

In reply to that, Afghanistan bowled out 155 runs in 19.5 overs. Even though Afghanistan were off to a flying start, they couldn’t maintain the momentum after the loss of the first wicket. Hazratullah Zazai scored 36 runs, and Rahmanullah Gurbaz scored 21 runs. Mohammad Nabi was the top scorer with 47 runs. For the UAE, Muhammad Jawadullah and Ali Naseer claimed four wickets each.
