Dimuth passed Arjuna Ranathunga

Sri Lanka captain Dimuth Karunaratne scored 428 runs in three innings in the Test series against Bangladesh. It included a double century and a half century. Dimuth scored 244 runs in the first match and managed to cross the 5000 mark in Test cricket in the second match. He became the 10th Sri Lankan batsman to cross that mark. Also, Dimuth Karunaratne was able to move up one place in the list of players who have scored the most Test runs for Sri Lanka. He currently has 5176 Test runs, ranking ninth on the list. Former Test captain Arjuna Ranatunga was placed 10th with 5105 runs.
