Defending champions England have been knocked out of the World Cup
Australia registered a 33-run win over England in the 36th match of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 on Saturday at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad. England captain Jos Buttler won the toss and opted to bowl first.
After losing the toss, Australia bowled out 286 runs in 49.3 overs. Marnus Labuschagne was the top scorer with 71 runs, and Cameron Green scored 47 runs. Steven Smith contributed with 44 runs. At the back end of the inning, Adam Zampa scored a valuable 29 runs. For England, Chris Woakes claimed four wickets.
In reply to that, England are all out for 253 runs in 48.1 overs. Ben Stokes was the top scorer with 64 runs, and Dawid Malan scored 50 runs. Moeen Ali contributed with 42 runs. For England, Adam Zampa claimed 3 wickets, while Pat Cummins, Josh Hazlewood, and Mitchell Starc chipped in with 2 wickets.
