December 28: Dimuth Karunarathne scored his maiden Hundred

On this day in 2006, Sri Lankan openers Upul Tharanga and Sanath Jayasuriya made 201 runs for the 1st wicket against New Zealand when they chased 286 runs at Napier. Its helped Sri Lanka to registered 7 wicket victory over home side.

On this day in 2011, Sri Lankan wicketkeeper batter Dinesh Chandimal became the fist Sri Lankan to score half centuries in both innings on Test debut. He scored 58 runs in 1st Innings and 54 runs in 2nd innings against South Africa at Durban.

On this day in 2014, Sri Lankan Test captain and opening batter Dimuth karunarathne made his first hundred in Test matches. He scored 152 runs against New Zealand.
