Canada defeated Oman in the final of the Desert Cup T20 Series

Canada registered an 8-wicket win over Oman in the Finals of the Desert Cup T20 Series at the Al Amarat on Monday. Canada won the toss and elected to bowl first. Oman went all out for 137 runs in their 20 overs. Naseem Khushi was the top scorer for Oman and scored an unbeaten 47 runs. For Canada, Jeremy Gordon claimed three wickets. In response, Canada chased down the target in 14 overs.They scored 139 runs for the loss of two wickets. Aaron Johnson was the top scorer for Canada and scored 68 runs. Srimantha Wijeratne scored an unbeaten 51 runs. Both Aaron Johnson and Srimantha Wijeratne added 124 runs for the first wicket.
Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Oman, and Canada participated in this tournament. Saudi Arabia registered 3rd place by beating Bahrain by 9 wickets.
