Bangladesh won the series

Bangladesh registered a six-wicket win over Afghanistan in the rain-interrupted 2nd T20I of the series on Sunday at Sylhet. The match was reduced to 17 overs per side due to rain. Bangladesh captain Shakib Al Hasan won the toss and opted to bowl first.

After losing the toss, Afghanistan scored 116 runs for 7 wickets in their 17 overs. Azmatullah Omarzai was the top scorer with 25 runs, and Ibrahim Zadran scored 22 runs. For Bangladesh, Taskin Ahmed claimed three wickets.

In reply, Bangladesh chased down the target successfully and scored 119 runs for the loss of four wickets in 16.1 overs. Litton Das scored 35 runs, and Afif Hossain scored 24 runs. Both Litton Das and Afif Hossain made a 67-run partnership for the first wicket and set the platform for the chase.

With that win, Bangladesh won the T20I series.
