Australia registered 3 wickets win over West Indies, in 1st T20I of the series at the Queensland on Wednesday. Australia Captain Aaron Finch won the coin toss and elected to bowl first.

After losing the toss West Indies made 145 runs for lost of 9 wickets in their 20 overs. Kyle Mayers was the top scorer with 39 runs. Odean Smith scored 27 runs. For Australia Josh Hazlewood claimed 3 wickers.

In reply that Australia reached the target at the final over of the match. Aaron Finch was the top scorer with 58 runs. Matthew Wade made an unbeaten 39 runs. Australia scored 146 runs for lost of 7 wickets in 19.5 overs and lead the series with 1-0.
