Australia completed a 3-0 whitewash against England

Australia registered a 221-run win over England in the 3rd ODI at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Tuesday. The match has been reduced to 48 overs per side. England captain Jos Buttler won the coin toss and elected to bowl first. 

After losing the toss, Australia posed a huge target for England. They made 355 runs for the loss of five wickets in their 48 overs. Travis Head was the top scorer with 152 runs. David Warner scored 106 runs. Both Travis Head and David Warner made 269 runs in partnership for the first wicket. For England, Olly Stone claimed four wickets. 

Based on DLS calculations, the target was revised to 364 runs for England. However, England couldn’t get going and lost wickets regularly. England were bowled out for 142 runs in 31.4 overs. Jason Roy was the top scorer with 33 runs. For Australia, Adam Zampa claimed four wickets. 

With that win, Australia completed a 3-0 whitewash against England.
