Australia Complete the Series 3-0 Clean Sweep
Australians registered a convincing 220-run win over Pakistan, in 3rd Test and won the series 3-0, at the Sydney on Saturday. Australian Captain Steven Smith won the coin toss, and elected to bat first.
After the winning toss Australia declared their innings at 538 for 8. For Australia Matt Renshaw(184), David Warner(113) and Peter Handscomb(110) made centuries and helped them to made a mammoth score against Pakistan. Both David Warner and Matt Renshaw made 151 runs partnership for the 1st wicket and set the platform to the Australian side. While in the bowling department Wahab Riaz claimed three wicket.
In Reply that Pakistan team bowled out for 315 runs in their first Innings. Pakistan lost two early wickets but Azhar Ali and Younis Khan made 146 runs partnership for the 3rd wicket. Pakistan most experience batsman Younis Khan(175) scored a gritty hundred and was well supported by Azhar Ali, who scored 71 runs. However Pakistan all out for 315 runs. For Australia, it was Josh Hazlewood, who took 4 wickets.
Australia decided to bat again in their second Innings with 223 runs lead. Once again Australian top order batted brilliantly and scored 241 runs for lost of 2 wickets in 32 over and decided to declare their 2nd Innings. For Australia, it was Usman Khawaja, who was the top scorer with 79 not out. Also David Warner(55) and skipper Steven Smith(59) contributed with half centuries both fifties came in quick times. But the Opening batsman David Warner create a history and scored the second fastest Test fifty. Eventually Australia set a 465 runs target to Pakistan to chasse.
Pakistan had a good chance to draw this match but they were bowled out for 244 runs. Pakistan openers stared their innings very well and made 51 runs stand for the 1st wicket. Since then no one able to build a big partnership and lost wickets at regular intervals. Pakistan wicket keeper batsman Sarfraz Ahmed batted really well and scored 72 runs in 70 balls. However Pakistan were bundled out for 244 runs and it claim 220 runs victory for the Australia.
Australian opener David Warner named as player of the match and Steven Smith named as player of the series.
